The US consulate in St Petersburg, Russia, will bring Gordon Bronitsky, Ph.D. to Arkhangelsk and St Petersburg in December 2017. Gordon Bronitsky is the founder of a firm that works with indigenous peoples around the world in the performing arts. He has worked on every continent except Antarctica. He will be a panelist at the first arctic film festival in Arkhangelsk and meet with the rector of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University to discuss creating an arctic peoples’ festival. In St Petersburg, he will show a new Navajo film, Monster Slayer. This will be his sixth trip to Russia; past trips have included a fashion show in Moscow with Navajo designer Virginia Yazzie Ballenger and a Navajo/Yakuts cultural summit in Yakutsk.
